I love jackin on cam, but how do you verify if the person watching is actually who they say they are? Obviously short of them having a webcam too.
And of course I know guys can pose as girls, etc. but what about a girl who is underage but claiming to be older or even vice versa?

My question is, if you ask the person if they are a cop, do they have to admit they are at that point or can they lie and say "no"? Or is that considered entrapment?

I would have to think if you ask if the person is a member of law enforcement, they'd have to acknowledge that they are...I hope.
As far as the age thing goes, if the "girl" tells you she's of age, I would think you're good to go. But then again I've chatted with numerous "girls" from an adult website where they claimed they were of age and then claimed they weren't. Honestly, I'd have no idea on that. I mean, what are you suppose to do? I guess end the chat session the moment they claim to be underage? I know a lot of them like to age play much younger. It would be nice if the laws were clear cut so we'd know what to do and when.
But also as I'm sure you've seen here and other places, there are plenty of pervs looking for that underage person to do stuff for/with.

No, a cop doing any sort of undercover work does not have to admit to being a cop. Otherwise going undercover would be pointless.
Entrapment consists of getting the other person to do the crime.
So, if an officer pretending to be a 12 yo girl says "Do you want to come to my house and fuck me in the ass?" that is entrapment - he is suggesting the illegal act.
But if he says "I have a cute ass."
And the perv says "I should would love to fuck it"
and the officer gives him an address to go to
That is not an entrapment, since he did not give the perv the idea to commit a crime.
Obviously this allows for a huge grey area which is where lawyers make gobs of money.
